**September 1,** 2018**:** **[National Book Festival](https://www.loc.gov/bookfest/)**

Come to the Washington Convention Center on Saturday, September 1st for the 18th Library of Congress National Book Festival.

 

**Now until September 16, 2018: Hamilton**

Visit [The Kennedy Center](http://www.kennedy-center.org/) to purchase [tickets](http://www.kennedy-center.org/calendar/event/TSTSE) to see *Hamilton* in Washington, D.C.

 

**September 6, 2018 – September 16, 2018:** [**DC Shorts Film Festival & Screenplay Competition**](http://festival.dcshorts.com/)

Washington, D.C. hosts one of the largest displays of short films across the country. Nearly 130 films were selected out of a whopping 1200 submissions across the world.

**September 12, 2018 – September 15, 2018:** [**NSO Pops: Star Wars: A New Hope**](http://www.kennedy-center.org/calendar/event/NSPSH)**(Film with Live Orchestra)**

Join conductor Steven Reineke and the National Symphony Orchestra in their performance of John Williams’s Oscar®-winning composition from Star Wars: A New Hope at the [Concert Hall](https://www.kennedy-center.org/pages/virtualtour/concerthall) in Washington, D.C.

 

**September 23, 2018:** [**Taste of Georgetown**](http://www.tasteofgeorgetown.com/)

This event benefits [Georgetown Ministry Center](https://georgetownministrycenter.org/)’s Homeless Assistance Programs, so come out and show your support. Restaurants in Washington, D.C. will be serving some of their signature dishes and there will be live music and activities for your grandchildren to enjoy.
