Today, March 8th, is International Women’s Day, which is an opportunity to encourage and empower women from different backgrounds. This day represents community and communication. It encourages everyone in this world to [support women and women’s rights](http://www.unwomen.org/en/news/in-focus/international-womens-day) because at the end of the day, women’s rights are human rights, and we all support human rights! This year’s theme is, “[Time is Now: Rural and urban activists transforming women’s lives.](http://www.unwomen.org/en/news/in-focus/international-womens-day)” This theme has been determined by the #MeToo movement and inspires a drive for change.
