We have put together some of the top travel destinations for every kind of traveler.   If adventure is what you’re looking for, look no further than **Alaska**. The scenic backcountry and picturesque glaciers will take your breath away. Alaska offers many options for fun including glacier adventure cruises, trains through snow covered towns, water rafting, fishing and more. Numerous discounts are offered when traveling to Alaska so be sure to search them out before booking your adventure.   **![charleston-historic-architecture-south-carolina-CHARLESTONTRAVEL0818](https://blog.collington.kendal.org/hs-fs/hubfs/charleston-historic-architecture-south-carolina-CHARLESTONTRAVEL0818.jpg?width=324&name=charleston-historic-architecture-south-carolina-CHARLESTONTRAVEL0818.jpg)Charleston, South Carolina** is one of the top travel destinations due to its pedestrian-friendly layout, history, charm and beauty. You can view the historic city by foot or by horse-drawn carriage. Visit the Magnolia Plantation and Gardens for a tour of the oldest public gardens in America or travel 15 miles down the road to Kiawah Island for awe-inspiring golf courses. **Rhine River Cruises** have quickly become one of the most popular river cruising destinations in the world. The River passes through six European countries and there are endless excursions so you can pick the cities and destinations that you want to travel to most. Any trip you choose will take you alongside ancient castles, vineyards and villages that look straight out of a storybook.   If you’re looking for a vacation that doesn’t require air travel, **Williamsburg, Virginia** might be the place for you. The city, rich with history, will create memories that will last a lifetime. The town is filled to the brim with shops, restaurants and museums that will keep your day busy.   For those searching for a relaxing beach getaway with white sandy beaches and crystal-clear water, **Hawaii** is the spot for you. Hawaii offers activities for those looking for adventures like snorkeling, hiking and exploring dormant volcanoes but it also has a plethora of options for those less mobile or just looking for a slower paced, relaxing vacation. You can find air-conditioned submarine rides to take in the underwater views without getting wet, or you can take time to learn more about the cultural history of the islands on Oahu. Either way, the breathtaking views will be unlike anything you’ve seen.      To Read about other Popular Travel Destinations for Seniors: [Click Here](https://blog.collington.kendal.org/blog/11-best-travel-destinations-during-retirement)   Share - - - ![Collington](https://collington.kendal.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/7/2020/05/Collington-Logo-white.png) Together, transforming the experience of aging.® - ![Equal Housing Opportunity](https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/2724579/Kendal_March2020/Images/eho.png "Equal Housing Opportunity") - ![Handicap Accessible](https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/2724579/Kendal_March2020/Images/WheelChair.png "Handicap Accessible") - ![Leading Age Member](https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/2724579/Kendal_March2020/Images/LeadingAgeLogo.png "Leading Age Member") - ![FSA](https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/2724579/Kendal_March2020/Images/FSA-Alliance-Logo-White-copy.png "FSA") **Collington** 10450 Lottsford Road Mitchellville, Maryland 20721 Sales/Marketing: 1.888.257.9468 General Information: 1.301.560.3601 **[Contact Us](http://collington.kendal.org/about/contact-us/)** **Charitable Giving** Partner with Collington, a Continuing Care Retirement Community and support meaningful initiatives within our community.
